The K&N 63-3100 AirCharger air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air intake housing and air filter on some Cadillac ATS models to increase power and performance. Factory air intakes are often restrictive. K&N air intakes are designed to smooth and straighten air flow, allowing them to dramatically reduce air intake restriction. With this air intake air is directed into the throttle body by an aerodynamically engineered intake tube. The intake comes with a K&N high-flow air filter and a black powder-coated heat shield, installed directly into the original airbox space. The heat shield helps to create a barrier between the engine’s heat and the intake, keeping air cool as it enters the tube. Depending on driving conditions, the oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed. The tube houses the original factory crank case vent hose and mass air sensor and the air intake installs using the original factory mounting points. All you need is a screwdriver, a ratchet set, several wrenches and usually just 90 minutes or less!
